A quest line given by Tren in Flo'rina involving the tracking down of the legendary The Chronicles of Dingusness item.

The quests in this line are:

  • A Tome Misplaced - Rumors of a lost legendary tome have surfaced speaking of untold tragedy and devastation should it fall into the wrong hands. Speak with Scholar Alaxt, who knows more of these rumors. He sends the player on a quest to look clues to its location. He also makes it known that the origination of the missing report is not from him, and nobody really knows who is looking for it.
  • A Language Forgotten - A page from a very old text has been found. It is written in an ancient language seemingly understood by none. The player takes the page back to Alaxt, who understands enough of the text to recognize it as Sisielle, but is unable to parse it in its entirety.
  • The Dead Tongue Speaks - Alaxt sends you to find the elusive Tren, the only known person to be fluent in Sisielle, to find out more. It is revealed here that it is a page of The Chronicles of Dingusness, and that Tren is the one who put out the rumors to get folks looking for it anonymously (for safety reasons). He doesn't want it let out what the tome is or what it contains, and felt secure knowing that it's a dead language understood by very, very few. Based on the found location, he sends the player back there, with direction to head toward Dreadfang Crater based on a hunch, and instructs you to recover more from the local Trolls near the entrance to the region.
  • The Chronicles of Dingusness (Quest) - Upon finding yet another page of the tome, the player questions the troll carrying it before, threatening to execute it if information is is not given. It indicates that a Troll witch doctor named Zen'ya has the tome, and is frantically looking for more missing pages to complete the tome for some planned dark ritual. The player then must defeat Zen'ya, recover the tome, and pick up missing pages on the way back out of the Dreadfang Crater. The quest turns in to Tren back in Flo'rina.
  • The First Rule of Dingusaur Training - Tren reveals that the tome is actually The Chronicles of Dingusness, and contains the lost secrets of The Dingusaur Trainers. After explaining its importance to the world, Tren offers to help you train your own Dingusaur. The first rule of training is that it must be treated with respect, kindness, and be fed a steady stream of J'dinklage Leaf. They also hate coconuts to the point that coconuts must not even be spoken of in their presence.
  • The Last Dingusaur Trainer - While being guided by Tren, it also comes to light that Tren is the last surviving Dingusaur Trainer, and hasn't yet found a replacement (and that it can't be the player, because it involves a lifetime of caring for the remaining Dingusaurs in the world, which is a full-time job on its own.
