''Rumor'' has it that this tome is weaved with ancient and untold power which, if fallen into the wrong hands, can be absolutely devastating to the world as we know it. Whether that's fact or fiction though, remains to be seen. We've sent some of our own scholars out after it, but they aren't exactly fighters. You look like you've seen a round of fisticuffs or two though. Is this something you're wanting to help with?

(Player): Yep, that's why I'm here.

[[Scholar Alaxt]]: Excellent! We don't have much - heck, we don't even know who's requesting it be looked for - but the latest I've heard is that it was last seen in northern [[Flo'rina]], headed toward The [[Dreadfang Crater]]. Go there and see what you can find.

Quest Giver: [[Tren]]

Initial Dialog:
[[Tren]]: [[Scholar Alaxt]] was right to send you to me. As far as I know, I am the only person in the world who is fluent in [[Sisielle]]. I recognize this text because I am the owner of it, and ultimately the one who spread rumors of its disappearance hoping to score a lead. The secrecy is directly due to the sensitivity of the matter - can't be too careful these days, you know.
[[Tren]]: The text is called [[The Chronicles of Dingusness]], a tome written originally by [[The Ancients of Millennia]] in their native tongue, [[Sisielle]]. Long story short, it contains the secrets of taming and training [[Dingusaur]]s. Without it, a grisly death is indeed guaranteed. It's also imbued with a sort of magic energy that assists in the binding of souls between the Dingusaur and its trainer. It's one-of-a-kind, and can't be replaced. It was stolen from me about a week ago.

Dialog options:
* (Player): How did you manage to lose something so important?
** [[Tren]]: That's awfully forward of you. Help me find it and maybe I'll tell you. Don't be rude, now.
* (Player): How did you ''not'' find this page? It was about 100 meters from here, dude.
** [[Tren]]: Wind is a thing, you know. Are you going to help me or not?
* (Player): What can I do to help?
** [[Tren]]: Head north along the road to [[Dreadfang Crater]] and see what you can find. I'm willing to bet the local [[Trolls]] there have got some information on its whereabouts. Get this information from them, whatever the cost.

Objective 1: Head North [[Flo'rina]] and defeat [[Trolls]] to gather more information. Bring their health low, but don't kill them. Dead trolls can't talk!

After a few defeats, one Troll begs to not be killed and offers to divulge information in exchange for mercy. This completes Objective 1.

Objective 1 Completion Dialogue:
Troll: Alright, enough! Please don't kill me, I'll tell you what you want to know.

(Player): Alright, speak. Make it quick before I change my mind.

Troll: Ok, ok! [[Zen'ya]], the witch doctor in our village, wanted it to complete a blood ritual that will grant her eternal life. She promised us eternal life in exchange, if we got the book for her. So I did while the stupid ranger was drunk and passed out one night. I handed it to her and immediately her attitude changed - ''scary stuff''!

Troll: She started killin' the other villagers around her. Neighbors, friends, her own family! Started yelling about sacrifices and whatnot. I was lucky to get out alive.

(Player): Where is she now?

Troll: At the altar in the middle of [[Dreadfang Crater]]. If you're going after her, beware, I tell you. She's gone mad! Now please, let me go!

Dialog choice:
* (Player): Very well.
** Troll runs away.
* (Player): I don't think so.
** Player kills troll.

Quest Objective 1 complete.

Objective 2: Go back to [[Tren]] and update him of your findings.

Based on the found location, he sends the player back there, with direction to head toward [[Dreadfang Crater]] based on a hunch, and instructs you to recover more from the local [[Trolls]] near the entrance to the region.

Literally meaning "Blood winter islet" - A small remote island off the north-west coast of [[Thaldor]]. It is bitterly cold and unforgiving. Contains only a small blacksmithing village of master blacksmiths, [[Frosthelm]].

Due to semi-recent events in the last year, Blodvinterholm is undergoing Finbulvinter, or "great winter" that's lasted, at the start of the game's events, for just under 3 years. In ancient mythology, it is the immediate prelude to Ragnarok, or "the world's end".
